englexas eats…big orange

A new addition to our “englexas eats” series is going to be restaurant reviews. I am so excited to share with you some of our favorite spots around town because the englexas family are total foodies!

Big Orange Little Rock restaurant
So I wanted to kick this series off with one of our absolute favorite places to eat in Little Rock…Big Orange.

We have literally eaten everything on their menu between us and I can honestly say that there isn’t one thing that hasn’t been amazing!

Big Orange Little Rock Restaurant
Our favorite appetizer is the Fried Asparagus, but when we are looking for a lighter option their Hummus is the best!

Big Orange Little Rock Burgers
Big Orange’s beef patties are made with Naturally Raised USDA Certified 100% Black Angus Beef that is
hormone free, antibiotic-free and pasture raised.

Big Orange Little Rock Burgers
If you are looking for a healthier option, their Turkey Burgers are delicious. I also love the Blackened Tilapia and Falafel Burger – the most delicious Falafel I have ever eaten! The Southern Fried Chicken sandwich is awesome, but I highly recommend you split it with someone because it is HUGE!

Big Orange Little Rock Sweet Potato Fries
One of our favorite things about Big Orange are their dipping sauces. We usually split the Truffle Garlic-Herb Fries with extra Aioli. But the Sweet Potato Fries with Mango-Curry Ketchup are hard to pass up!

Big Orange Little Rock drinks and milkshakes
Gabriel’s favorite drink at Big Orange is the Old Fashioned. When I’m feeling adventurous I get a milkshake and of course, being the chocolate addict that I am I usually stick with the chocolate. I decided to venture out this past time and try the Dulce de Leche shake and I have got to say that this is the BEST milkshake I have ever had, it was absolutely delicious!

Big Orange Little Rock Burgers
Big Orange has a great atmosphere for dinner as a family and even sitting at the bar for date night. We can’t wait for the weather to cool off a little so we can take advantage of their beautiful patio.

roasted rosemary garlic potatoes

This is by far one of the number 1 recipes in my house, and definitely one of my favorite sides to make for dinner. I absolutely love fresh rosemary and when it’s roasted it’s absolutely delicious!

1/4 cup Olive Oil
1 small bunch of Rosemary
2 Tablespoons of chopped Garlic
2 lbs Red Potatoes

1. Dice the potatoes as evenly as you can so that they cook evenly, leaving the skin on.

2. Mix in a bowl with the other 3 ingredients.

3. Put on a baking sheet in one single layer

4. Put in the oven 400 degrees for 45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.

It’s literally that easy! I also have a recipe to reuse the leftovers of this recipe that I will be posting as a follow up.
