When I was thinking about the picture for this week I realized it felt really ‘familiar’ and then /i realized that all the way back in week 3 I posted a very similar picture of our adventurous life!
Today I fly to Chicago by myself with all three kiddos. When I have told people this usually their eyes get real big, they scan over my kids again (I’m assuming reminding themselves that yes, there are 3 of them and they are under 5) and then they give some encouragement or advice on how I can get through it…usually they say “good luck with that!” and they walk away, really glad that they are not the ones that will a) be doing that or b) on that plane!
I’m feeling pretty confident though. I’ve flown many many times before with different ages of kids. I’ve ran through the whole procedure in my mind and know what the ‘hard parts’ will be: getting through security, checking the stroller at the gate and of course, keeping my almost 2 year old in a seat for 2 hours! To be completely honest I fully expect it to suck pretty bad, but you know what? It won’t be forever. It will be over and we will arrive into the arms of our friends and I’m pretty sure that I will vow to never do that again, until next time of course! So if you think of me today, pray for me
